Hello Scouts, Ventures and Rover,

We would like to offer a day of paddling for the 66th group. Saturday July 28th we will be heading to the Pinery Provincial Park to work on paddling skills. We will meet at the Richard’s Memorial Church at 8am on Saturday morning and carpool to the park and hopefully arrive back around 4:30pm. Everyone is expected to bring a swimsuit, towel, sunscreen, water bottle, lunch and snacks, and shoes that can get wet(if you have them, if not bare feet will be okay in the canoe). If you have a life jacket or paddle you are welcome to bring that as well. We will have large waterproof sacks to hold lunches and other gear that can’t get wet. Please leave electronics at home if possible. We will not be responsible for any damaged or lost items.

Cost for this day trip will be $15 which will cover entrance costs to the park and some gas money for the drivers. There is food(ice cream, popsicles etc) available to purchase but you will not be able to do so until the end of our day. So please bring a lunch.

If you would like to attend this event please let us know ASAP so we can make sure we have enough canoes.

Attached is a permission form which you will need to bring signed on the Saturday.

If you have any questions or concerns please don’t hesitate to send your leader an email.
